HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM/GPS: Tre intervalli: 900/1800/1900 MHz – Flybook è ad oggi il portatile più piccolo al mondo, il quale ha incorporato un modulo GPRS(EDGE in model V33i). Basta solo inserire nell’apposito posto la carta SIM di qualsiasi rete di telefonia mobile e ovunque dove abbiamo segnale della data rete, possiamo utilizzare Internet o chiamare direttamente da Flybook (avendo le mani libere o utilizzando il kit di cuffie) e inviare SMS o fare fax dovunque e in ogni momento con l’utilizzazione di un modulo software molto amichevole, compreso nel prezzo del portatile. Il software ci permette inoltre il trasferimento delle rubriche telefoniche di grandezza oggi usata dai telefoni cellulari direttamente al modulo telefonico del portatile (non dobbiamo affannarci a scrivere diversi centinaia di contatti assieme ai numeri telefonici). Il portatile possiede un’antenna interna incorporata trasmittente-ricevente al GPRS.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range radio technology designed to simplify communications among Internet devices and between devices and the Internet. It allows you to connect to peripherals like printers, scanners or other computers, PDAs, mobile phones, GPS antennas as well as other devices without the use of cables.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is the short for Wireless Fidelity and it is a device that enables one to connect to a wireless network. It consists of two essential elements: the transceiver, which is built into your Flybook and the access points, in other words, devices connected to landlines which are able to emit coverage inside and around offices, airports, conference rooms, hotels, town squares and etc.

GPRS

It supports a wide range of bandwidths, efficiently uses limited bandwidth and is particularly suited for sending and receiving small bursts of data, such as e-mail and Web browsing, as well as large volumes of data such as multimedia messages

Connect your Flybook to the optional GPS antenna and you__ll be able to pursue your journey by land or sea and be always on time without getting lost!

EDGE

Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE), Enhanced GPRS (EGPRS), or IMT Single Carrier (IMT-SC) is a digital mobile phone technology that allows increased data transmission rates and improved data transmission reliability. EDGE is generally classified as 2.75G, although it is part of ITU's 3G definition[1]. EDGE has been introduced into GSM networks around the world since 2003, initially by Cingular (now AT&T) in the United States. EDGE can be used for any packet switched application, such as an Internet connection. High-speed data applications such as video services and other multimedia benefit from EGPRS' increased data capacity. EDGE Circuit Switched is a possible future development. EDGE Evolution continues in Release 7 of the 3GPP standard providing doubled performance e.g. to complement High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA).

UMTS

Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) is one of the third-generation (3G) cell phone technologies, which is also being developed into a 4G technology. Currently, the most common form of UMTS uses W-CDMA as the underlying air interface. It is standardized by the 3GPP, and is the European answer to the ITU IMT-2000 requirements for 3G cellular radio systems. To differentiate UMTS from competing network technologies, UMTS is sometimes marketed as 3GSM, emphasizing the combination of the 3G nature of the technology and the GSM standard which it was designed to succeed.

HSDPA

High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is a 3G (third generation) mobile telephony communications protocol in the High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) family, which allows networks based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) to have higher data transfer speeds and capacity. Current HSDPA deployments support down-link speeds of 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 and 14.4 Mbit/s. Further speed increases are available with HSPA+, which provides speeds of up to 42 Mbit/s
